Biodegradability test under controlled simulation
The ULVS Biodegradability Test Report (ISO 14855-1:2012) certifies that Ecovia's products meet international standards for biodegradability. This test evaluates the aerobic biodegradation of materials under controlled composting conditions. By achieving this certification, we demonstrate that our products break down efficiently in composting environments, aligning with our commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly packaging solutions.
Amfori
Trade with purpose
Ethical and Social amfori certification ensures that Ecovia upholds high standards of ethical business practices and social responsibility. This certification verifies that we prioritize fair labor conditions, worker rights, and environmental sustainability throughout our supply chain. It reflects our commitment to ethical production and creating a positive impact on both people and the planet.
BCSIR food contact test
Food safety test is done to primarily test about migration of materials when packaging is in contact with food. Based on the results of the tested parameters and according to the EU regulation No.10/2011 for plastics, Ecovia bags have successfully passed all tests regarding food safety in BCSIR labs. This allows our material to be considered fit for food packaging.
TÜV
Austria
Ecovia’s bags are officially certified with the OK Compost HOME mark by TÜV Austria, one of the world’s most trusted certification bodies. This ensures our packaging decomposes naturally in home compost conditions, without requiring industrial facilities, without special treatment, and without leaving behind any microplastics or toxins.
BPI
This certification confirms that Ecovia packaging meets North America’s ASTM D6400 standard for industrial composting. It ensures our materials break down fully in commercial composting facilities, leaving behind no plastics, toxins, or harmful residues.
IAS
IAS Certificate of Compliance (EN 13130-1:2004, EN 1186-1:2002,
EN 14338:2003) ensuring FDA standards for material safety
and food-contact compliance.
